Well, I'm happy today as is the rest of my family. A little while back my grandma went to the doctor because she discovered a lump in her breast area. They told her it was a tumor and it would need to be surgically removed. The day of the surgery came and by that time it had turned into breast cancer so the doctor informed my mother that they would need to perform a mastectomy and afterwards she would need to come in for check ups to make sure the cancer didn't spread anywhere and also that my mom and her sisters would need to be checked as well. The surgery was successful and my grandma did fine, the doctors said she was a tough woman.
After that the doctor told my mom that she was more than likely going to need chemotherapy and that she was going to lose here hair and everything that comes with chemo. My grandma has been recovering great since then and quite quickly. She experiences pain from time to time from the incision, but otherwise she goes on with her life like nothing happened. She's been going to the doctor's for check ups and such as well. Well, this morning she had another appointment to check up on her and to finally give her the results of whether or not she would be placed in chemo. My mom came home today happy and excited saying the doctors told her my grandma was doing great and would NOT be needing chemo. So we went out for lunch immediately after to celebrate and ordered a big botana to splurge on. So yes, today is a great day
